Brothers,
In today’s global
society, people continue to look for the best buy but not necessarily
the best quality. In the Elevator Industry our signatory companies are
willing to sell their services at a discounted rate and reduce manpower
to promote higher profits. The ultimate result is that the customer is
getting a service contract that is not being met or new installations
that are not being finished. Brothers, as Elevator Constructors, we do
not bid these jobs, nor do we assign the manpower, but we do perform the
work. The work should be done with the highest degree of craftsmanship
and pride. In 2007, when our Labor Committee sets down and negotiates
our new contract, we shall demand the best because we are the best.
