Commentary:

I was sitting here on Fathers Day, thinking about the fathers of sons and daughters that have died or come back in pieces from Iraq. We cannot lose this fight. Sure we were lied to, but now we’re there and we must stick it out. The people running things in Iraq, both Iraqis’ and Global Corporations, want us there as long as possible, after all, a lot of money is changing hands as long as our troops are doing the job and not Iraq’s troops. If I could get you to provide me with billions of US dollars as long as I was incapable of defending myself, well I might not be able to defend myself for 10, 15, maybe even 20 years. Heck if you give me even more money, I could keep my people from ever being trained.

Without the money changing hands, there’s no motivation in having our troops provide security. Without the money Iraqi’s would prefer their troops running things. Haven’t you wondered how they had the 3rd largest army in the world (HW Bush) yet can’t provide for their own security? It’s the money. Taxpayers’ money. Your money. Over $200,000,000,000.00.

There’s too much at state to cut and run. We have now created the largest single terrorists network in the world in Iraq and we can’t just leave. But we also can’t keep sending our money and kids off to them, while our own infrastructures fail. We are not a cash cow. We need benchmarks set, established goals, not timetables. As objectives are met, our troops and our money would be reduced.

The problem comes back to trickle-down economics. Once again your money is handed to the powerful and it never gets to the worker. You want to end this thing over there, start giving good paying jobs to the working class Iraqi to rebuild their country, instead of the moneychangers. You’ll find a people too busy supporting their family to be out blowing up things. If you don’t have electricity, have sewage backed-up in your yard, don’t have food for your family, and don’t have a job; then you too might get pissed off and want to take it out on someone. Guess who that someone is…

Opposing views are good…
