3^rd Quarter Member Dues -Quarterly dues are payable in advance before the first day of the first month of each quarter. A statement will be sent to all members with the amount owed for dues. Checks or money orders accepted for dues.

Member News

Congratulations to Local 12 apprentice, John Roberts and his wife, on the birth of a daughter,

Erin Elizabeth. Erin was born on May 12, 2007.

Annual Local 12 Picnic will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2007 at the Longview Lake Shelter House #9 beginning at Noon. Local 12 will provide the meats and drinks. Please bring your favorite covered dish. Bring your bats and gloves for softball. Everyone attending will receive a ticket for door prizes. There will be mouse races so bring your money to places your bets! Proceeds from the mouse races will go the PAC fund. A dunk tank will be set up to cool anyone off that wants to participate. Hope to see everyone there!!!

Results of the Wichita Annual Fishing Tournament- Placing went as follows: 1^st-Joseph Lawson 33 lbs 7 oz of fish, 2^nd-Mark Reimer 29 lbs 5 oz of fish 3^rd – Joe VanZant 28 lbs 1 oz of fish,4^{th –}Steve Edwards 27 lbs 4 oz of fish, 5^th-Bob Dingus 22 lbs 4 oz of fish. Big Bass – Chuck Cline with a 4 lb 9 oz bass. Big Walleye-Roy VanZant with a 5 lb 8 oz walleye. Big Crappie-Rick Knorp with a 2 lb 3 oz Crappie. Thank you to Rex Gragg for taking care of the fishing tournaments this year!!!

Apprentice News

It is important to remember that you must have the following completed in order to advance to the next apprenticeship year of classes:

· All Unit Exams completed with a score of 70 or above

· 144 hours of classroom attendance

· Final Exam taken with a score of 70 or above

There will be no retakes on the Final Exam-if you do not pass you cannot advance to the next year.

Retirees

Congratulations to Brother Jim Robbins on his retirement. Brother Robbins started in the trade in May 1991 and retired from Kone on March 29, 2007.

Congratulations to Brother Steve McDonald on his retirement. Brother McDonald started in the trade in April 1975 and retired from Thyssen on April 30, 2007.

Condolences to the family of Retiree, Charles Brock. Brother Brock passed away on June 10, 2007. Brother Brock retired from Local 12 in 1986. Brother Brock was a death benefit member.
