Member News

Wichita Annual Fishing Tournament-will be held on Saturday, June 21st and Sunday, June 22^nd, 2008 at Milford Lake in Kansas. Tournament fee is $25.00 plus $5.00 per pot. Start time is 7:00 am at the Rush Creek Marina with weigh-in between 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm Saturday and 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm Sunday. Cash awards for 1^st thru 5^th heavy stringer, Big Bass, Big Crappie and Big Walleye. Deadline entry is June 15, 2008. Contact the Local 12 office or Rex Gragg at (785) 392-3577 or (785) 392-7412 for an entry form (no money will be accepted without the entry form). Special Thanks to Mark Reimer of Moldcraft for the Trophies!

Annual Local 12 Picnic will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the Longview Lake Shelter House #9 beginning at Noon. Local 12 will provide the meats and drinks. Please bring your favorite covered dish. Bring your bats and gloves for softball. Everyone attending will receive a ticket for door prizes. There will be games and prizes for the kids. Hope to see everyone there!!!

Results of the Wichita Annual Fishing Tournament- Placing went as follows: 1^st-Ray VanZant 42 lbs 4 oz of fish, 2^nd-Chris Hallock 41 lbs 1 oz of fish 3^rd – Steve Edwards 35 lbs 4 oz of fish, 4^th Jeff VanZant 33lbs 8 oz of fish, 5^th-Linda Morse 17 lbs of fish. Big Bass – No Big Bass caught. Big Walleye-Robin Beuthin with a 2 lb 4 oz walleye. Big Crappie-Larry Beuthin with an 8 oz Crappie. A total of 267.4 pounds of fish was caught. Thank you to Rex Gragg for taking care of the fishing tournaments this year!!

Reminder: If you have not submitted your Death Benefit Information Form, please do so can the Local 12 office can have updated information regarding beneficiaries. The Local 12 office cannot obtain beneficiary information from the benefits office due to the Protected Health Information policy. Contact the Local 12 office if you need a form.

All construction, modernization, HOLE DRILLING AND jobs that last 3 or more days are to be called in to the Local 12 office. Construction, modernization and repair jobs must be reported to the Local 12 office.
