NOTICE – At the May 8, 2008 General Area Meeting, nominations will be accepted for the following positions: Vice-President, Business Manager and one (1) Trustee position. The Election will be held at the June 12, 2008 General Meeting. It is suggested that all Local 12 members read Article 11 of the Local 12 Constitution and By-Laws to understand the election process thoroughly.

Congratulations to mechanic, Kris Warren and his wife on the birth of a son, Nolan Daniel. Nolan was born on April 23, 2008.

Annual Local 12 Picnic will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the Longview Lake Shelter House #9 beginning at Noon. Local 12 will provide the meats and drinks. Please bring your favorite covered dish. Bring your bats and gloves for softball. Everyone attending will receive a ticket for door prizes. There will be games and prizes for the kids. Hope to see everyone there!!!

Reminder: If you have not submitted your Death Benefit Information Form, please do so can the Local 12 office can have updated information regarding beneficiaries. The Local 12 office cannot obtain beneficiary information from the benefits office due to the Protected Health Information policy. Contact the Local 12 office if you need a form.

Kansas City Annual Fishing Tournament-will be held on Saturday, May 17^th and Sunday, May 18^th, 2008 at Marion Lake in Kansas. Tournament fee is $25.00 plus $5.00 per pot. Start time is 7:00 am at the Cottonwood Point Boat Ramp with weigh-in between 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm Saturday and 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm Sunday. Cash awards for 1^st thru 5^th heavy stringer, Big Bass, Big Crappie and Big Walleye. Deadline entry is May 8, 2008. Contact the Local 12 office or Rex Gragg at (785) 392-3577 or (785) 392-7412 for an entry form (no money will be accepted without the entry form).
