Article 14 Joint Apprenticeship Committee Section 1. The President shall appoint the Business Manager and three (3) mechanic members to serve with four (4) representatives of the Manufactures on a Joint Apprenticeship Committee, which shall adopt and implement the training program promulgated by the National Elevator Industry Educational Program (N.E.I.E.P.), established pursuant to the Standard Agreement. Section 2. Any member who is raised to the class of mechanic (temporarily) must first obtain a card marked "Temporary Mechanic" from the Local Business Manager before working in that capacity. Any Temporary Mechanic desiring to go back to apprentice/helper classification shall return the "Temporary Mechanic" card to the Business Manager's office. Section 3. Any apprentice/helper found working as a mechanic without obtaining authorization shall, after notice, be disciplined in accordance with Article 16.
