Article 19 Special Orders Section 1. Every member in this Local who finishes a job and has no job assignments or further instructions shall report back to the elevator company in person if the time warrants. If time does not warrant his/her return to the elevator company, he/she shall contact the company by telephone, at the company's expense, to see if there will be work the next morning. No one goes to the shop unless requested by the company; therefore no one sits on the bench without "show up time" being paid. Any member leaving the shop before the authorized starting time, to go out on a job, and not drawing overtime, shall be fined. Section 2. Any member working a new installation or modernization job, requiring three (3) days or more, shall notify the Business Manager. A member shall also notify the Business Manager upon completion of said job or leaving job. Any member starting a hydraulic hole or unloading material must call the Local office to record the name of company, job site, name of mechanic, name of driller, depth of hole, starting date, completion date, and material unloaded. Section 3. Any request by a member, for payment on stolen tools, shall include an affidavit and a listed value of each tool. Section 4. Mechanics will not furnish special or company tools, including the following: Welding and cutting equipment, and any soldering equipment. Power tools and equipment. Socket set larger that 1/2-inch drive. Open or box wrench larger that 1 1/4 inches. Adjustable or crescent wrench longer than 12 inches. Digging equipment. Chain tong or pipe wrench larger than 14 inches. Pipe vice, cutter, dies or bender. Hoisting equipment, jacks, cabling or rebabbitting tools. Hack saw blades, files, drill bits, taps, reamers or Knockout punches. ALL required Safety Equipment. Any batteries. Extension cords and GFCI. Meters, and/or any Electronic Diagnostic Equipment. Grease guns. Pinch bar longer than 36 inches. Metric tools. Section 5. There shall be a limitation of 200 pounds of company tools and/or material hauled in personal vehicles to any job at one time. There shall also be a size limit on all company tools and/or materials that we will haul in our personal vehicles that is limited to; anything that will not fit entirely in the vehicle that a member chooses to drive. Members will not haul any substance that the EPA has determined to be a hazardous material and appears on MSDS sheets. Any member that is required to haul company tools, materials, small parts or manuals on a daily basis will be compensated at a minimum rate of $5.00(five dollars) per day for wear and tear on their vehicle. Any member that is required to haul additional company tools, materials, small parts, manuals, etc. to or from a job will be compensated at the rate of ¼ the current mileage rate per mile per pound.
